Agreement between the University of Rome Tor Vergata and car2go to bring the free-flow car sharing service within the university. The collaboration will also include Policlinico and CampusX, and will aim to support sustainable mobility by making the campus more accessible and easily accessible thanks to the car2go vehicles. Several free parking areas provided within the university area.
Car2go free-flow car sharing provides for students and academic staff the possibility of not only concluding the rental within the university boundaries, but also of starting a new one and leaving the car in one of the areas provided for by the service (as indicated in the map available through the car2go app for smartphones). Five dedicated parking areas, near the car parks close to: Rectorate (new headquarters in via Cracovia s.n.c.), Policlinico, CampusX and headquarters of Engineering and Economics; to these is added a fifth space activated at the interchange parking lot of the Anagnina metro station. The five dedicated car2go parking areas will remain active for six months during the experimental phase of the project. After this period, car2go and the university will evaluate whether to continue with the operation. Scheduled for January 25, 2018 from 12 to 18 at Campus X (Via di Passolombardo 341, Rome) the first of the Registration Days, events reserved for students, employees and collaborators of the University of Tor Vergata during which they will be offered to interested in signing up for the car2go car with free registration and 5 euros in driving minutes included.
