Six thousand euros a year for three years, for three students, with a mentor dedicated to developing specific skills for each of them: this is the heart of the Amazon Women in Innovation project, now in its second edition.
The initiative, part of the Amazon in the Community project, is intended to finance students enrolled in three different Italian universities: Mathematical or Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan, Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin and Computer Engineering or Internet Engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

«With these scholarships we are trying to make a difference for many young women who will one day become leaders in innovation,» said Mariangela Marsehlia, VP Country Manager of Amazon.it and Amazon.es, at the start of this new edition. The support to the students, belonging to the Stem disciplines (Sciences, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), will depend not only on the skills demonstrated during the course of studies, but also on the income of each of them.

Amazon Women in Innovation, launched for the first time in 2018 only for the universities of Milan and Turin, this year will also include the University of Rome «Tor Vergata», near our Campus.
The competition will be open only to students enrolled in the 2019/2020 academic year in Internet Engineering or Computer Engineering degree courses, who have already achieved at least 18 credits with an average of not less than 26/30. Applications must reach the University by March 9, 2020 and the results will be made public on April 13, 2020.

«We are few, but we are as good as our male companions, indeed … maybe even more», these are the words of the winners of the last edition, Beatrice and Rania, who, following the win, used the money to improve their knowledge of languages, to pay for books, subscription to vehicles, the canteen and the purchase of new IT devices.
This scholarship, therefore, will allow all students to be able to reinvest the money in the activities and expenses that they will decide according to their needs.
